This is an other installement for my Autobiography Project in which I explain the significance of something I carry with me.  It is reminiscent of the book The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien.

One item I carry with me at nearly all times is my ipod. This metallic red media device has sat in its beat up case offering its humble services when ever I want it. I received this current ipod about a year ago from a friend after my old one quit working. Whether haying, traveling, fishing, working, playing, or relaxing, my ipod has served me well. I consider my ipod to be more than an entertainment device. I use it for learning about and gaining inspiration from music. It is a tool which broadens my musical palate, which is extremely important because a musician who doesn’t limit themselves to one band, genre, or style is invaluable.
